Place a deposit for one of our premium grain fed (365 days) home raised Brangus/Hereford steers to be processed beginning in Fall/Winter 2025. This will reserve your choice of half, quarter, or whole for the next available animal to be processed.
 
Pricing is $4.50/lb hanging weight (Average 950lbs hanging weight) plus processing fees (currently $1.20/lb hanging plus $120 harvest/hide disposal). The estimated TOTAL COST (steer plus processing) averages $5500 for a whole, $2700 for a half, and $1375 for a quarter. This could be a more or less depending on the hanging weight. Hanging weight is the weight after the hide, organs, head, and feet have been removed. Our average packaged weight for a full steer is 600lbs but can be more or less depending on what you decide to keep. For instance bone-in cuts weigh more than boneless.
 
We will contact you when the steer has a slaughter date and help you through the process of filling out a cut sheet. Once a date is set we will deliver it on that date to be harvested, cut, and packaged.  The time it takes for pickup depends on the number of days that you allow the carcass to hang and dry age. We recommend 21 days. 
 
Our steers generally make about 600 lbs of packaged beef for a whole, 300 for a half, and 150 for a quarter. You will need at least a 20 cubic ft freezer for a whole beef, 10 cubic ft freezer for a half, and 5 to 6 cubic ft for a quarter.
